Our doors are open to all who want to worship.

We are a non-denominational church, which, though comprised of a membership representing many different denominations, is not connected to any specific one. We are committed to the teachings of the historic Christian Faith, as revealed in the Holy Bible.
Our vision is for everyone 'to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ'.
Our mission is to "CONNECT" people to God through a life-changing relationship with Jesus, to assist them to "GROW" in their relationship with Him, and, finally, to motivate them to "SERVE" Jesus in His Church and in the world, as enabled by the Holy Spirit.

Q.  What should I wear?
A.  Feel free to dress comfortably.  Some people dress up; most adults wear "business casual".

Q.  Where do I park?

A.  There is plenty of parking right in front of the church.

Q.  Do I have to be a member of the Smoke Rise Club to attend?

A.  No. In fact, many of our members and friends live outside of the Smoke Rise community.

Q.  How do I enter the Smoke Rise community?

A.  You can enter via the North Gate off Route 23 South or the East Gate off Kinnelon Road. We recommend using the North Gate since it is closest to the church. Stop in the Visitor's Lane and tell the guard you are attending church. They will provide you with directions if you ask.

Q.  Will I be singled out as a visitor?
A.  No. While we do have a time in the service for greeting one another, we do not single out visitors for public recognition.  There is a coffee time after the service where you can meet the some members and ask questions.

Q.  What will I experience?
A.  You will be greeted by the smiling face of an usher who will be happy to answer any questions, give you a printed program, and help you find a seat.  The service has a traditional format and a very warm feel. While our Sunday worship begins in the sanctuary, children, from pre-K to fifth grade are invited to the Children's Worship in Fellowship Hall (downstairs and to the right) then break up into Sunday school classes organized by grade. Children three years and younger are welcome in our Nursery (Room 201). Click Children's Ministry for more info.  Middle and High School students are invited to stay in the sanctuary during the worship service, and attend Sunday School which runs every other week throughout the school year. Feel free to stay after the service for refreshments and have some time to connect with others in the congregation.

Q.  Is the building wheelchair accessible?
A.  Yes. The main entrance to the sanctuary from the parking lot is wheelchair accessible. There is also an elevator that connects the sanctuary level and the lower level. It is also possible to enter the building from the rear of the church, which has a flat entrance into the lower level, and take the elevator up to the sanctuary level.

Q.  How can I start to get to know people?

A.  There is a coffee hour right after the Worship service for exactly that purpose. We encourage you to attend and start to connect with the folks in our congregation. You’ll find a very fun, warm group of people that truly consider the church their home.

Q.  How can I join the church?
A.  We are thrilled to hear that you would like to become a member of our congregation! To join just call our office at 973-838-5599.CONTACT US
